Over the last week, Doug Wardlow has faced scrutiny for his true beliefs and agenda for the Attorney General’s Office. First, it was revealed that he planned a partisan purge in the office, then he was exposed for the hateful and divisive rhetoric of his campaign, and earlier comments he made about a “second, unwritten constitution” were unearthed.
Apparently, that was all a bit too much attention for Wardlow. Amidst deeper scrutiny of his past work and values, Wardlow today cleansed years of tweets from his Twitter account. And earlier this week, he deleted his LinkedIn profile, where he had proudly listed his work for a hate group.
Doug Wardlow has spent this entire campaign trying to hide his extreme right-wing agenda, record, and beliefs. But Wardlow can’t hide his real values from Minnesotans.
Below, see the tweets Doug Wardlow didn’t want Minnesotans to find as they make their choice in this critical election.
WARDLOW: REPEAL OBAMACARE
Doug Wardlow has long stood with President Trump and Republicans working to overturn the Affordable Care Act and coverage for preexisting conditions.
WARDLOW: ELIMINATE WORKERS’ RIGHTS
Doug Wardlow is a champion for so-called ‘right-to-work’ laws, which strip workers of their power to collectively bargain for better pay and working conditions for all.
WARDLOW: ANTI-MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Wardlow believes that marriage equality and liberty are incompatible. "You cannot have liberty with marriage redefined to include homosexual marriage. You cannot."
WARDLOW: SECRET LAW ABOVE CONSTITUTION
Wardlow believes in the existence of a “second, unwritten Constitution” which is more important than the actual U.S. Constitution.
WARDLOW: PROUD OF HATE GROUP
In addition to his Twitter cleanse, Wardlow also recently deleted his LinkedIn profile, where he proudly listed his work with the anti-LGBTQ organization the Southern Poverty Law Center considers a “hate group.”
Wardlow can try to run from his record, but he cannot hide his real beliefs and agenda from Minnesota voters.
